Praying to God
Initially, when you ask yourself who was your first love, your answer might be your dog, mom, dad, the first boy you kissed, or anyone that makes you feel like the best version of you. But when does God’s love come into the equation? He knew who you were before your parents, and loved you before you drew your first breath. And when you pray, you create the most unique and intimate connection to Him. In retrospect, when you think of your first love, the answer is God.
Your first love serves to make you know what proper love feels like. Your first love also enables you to freely love others. It helps you see the beauty in your life and opens your heart to the world. God’s our keeper, our guide through the world. With His guidance you can accept His love, which teaches you how to accept love from others. Because you receive love from your first love (God) and love from others, in return you can love others with a warm, compassionate heart. Your first love shapes how you love yourself and others.
God created you and wanted you to prosper in your life. Because God made you, He has a deep, intimate connection with you, unlike any other person. Likewise, your connection with Him is unique. It’s not the same as the next person who seeks His love and embrace. With that being said, there’s no wrong way to connect with Him. Whether you’re on the subway or alone in your room, you can pray to God and feel His connection. There’s no designated location to speak to Him. Nor is there any designated style to pray. When you pray, how you do it is what feels natural for you.
God loved you so much that He sacrificed His son to save you. His love is so powerful that you crave it and do what you can to continue the connection. When you pray you create a connection between yourself and God. With that connection made He’s able to guide you into deliverance. In your darkest times God is at your side. He puts forth all His energy and resources to give you strength. When you’re in need, He beckons you to pray to Him for His help. Of course once you’ve asked, He does what He can to help. That’s the power of His love for you.
Because God made you, He has a deep, intimate connection with you, unlike any other person.
God’s love for you reinforces your love for others. It becomes a support system that allows you to have strong relationships with the world. When your relationship with Him is warm and strong, your connections with others become more loving and accepting because you’re able to honor yourself.
God’s embodiment in your life helps you to understand your purpose. When you pray, it allows God to guide you down the right path full of meaning and principle. His love defines your character and how others see you. Without communicating to God, you walk blindly down roads that can lead to darkness and confusion.
God drives you to be the best version of yourself. Prayer is key to maintain the relationship you desire with God. Because He is eternal, so is prayer. Praying to Him is not temporary, but forever. It’s an everlasting way of communicating with Him, and gives you the clarity needed to become more like Him. In order to continue your connection to your first love, you must love prayer and what it provides to you: everlasting love.
